Club History

Our club was chartered on May 21, 1974. The club met each Friday morning for breakfast, until about 10 years ago, when the club started meeting twice a month.  Our club founded and maintained the Labor Day Arts & Crafts Festival in Simpsonville until we turned it over to the Simpsonville Chamber of Commerce around 1999. We started our first Terrific Kids program at Bryson Elementary in 1987.
We also started the Policeman of the Year program in 1988.  We now do 7 Terrific Kids programs after having turned two of them over to the new club that we sponsored in Fountain Inn.  We are also involved in a reading program for the 6, K-4 classes, at the Golden Strip Center. We also hold an annual Christmas dinner and party for the underprivileged families of the Golden Strip, at the Golden Strip Center.  We have been actively involved in the Special Olympics at Furman University for almost 25 years.
